Just like any place where active RVers like the Escapees (SKPs) gather, we have many regularly scheduled activities and special events all year long. During the summer many members travel leaving the Resort quieter with fewer planned activities.  If you are stopping by, you will receive a Calendar of Events that is published each month. 

Bird-Watching

Several members of the Resort are active birders.  They have kept track of the many different species of birds seen within the bounds of the park.  How many species do you think have been seen here?  Make your guess and then look at the Bird-Watching list to find the actual answer.

Food

We Escapees like to eat! We have a great "commercial style" kitchen and some even greater cooks.  Our Kitchen Committee is always working hard to prepare and serve special occasion meals.  We all pitch in and take turns on KP duty to make the chores easier and much more fun!

We always enjoy celebrating with food. Pictured here is one of our special desert bars.  These super treats are reserved for very special occasions.

There is also a smaller kitchen and cozy living room at the Ranch House for members' personal use on a reservation basis. If you are staying with us, you are invited to join in the festivities.

Amenities

We always have many opportunities for physical activity in the park. There are scenic roads for walking, tennis courts, horseshoes pits, miniature golf, shuffle-board, a bocce ball court, an open-air swimming pool, two spas, men's and women's saunas, a craft room, a spacious sewing room, a large video and book library, a billiard room, game room, exercise room, post office, kitchen, and a large Friendship Hall. Take the Resort tour to see all of these places and activities.

Volunteering

The park was built by volunteers and continues to depend upon its members to do a variety of projects around the park.  At Volunteer Recruitment Luncheons our members sign up to share their talents!

Some recent projects include the following:
The first weekend in October, we held our Annual Yard Sale!
We have added fresh coats of paint on all Laundry/Showers!
We resurfaced the shuffle board courts over the summer!
We spruced up the landscaping throughout the Resort!
Our GM, staff and volunteers enlarged our RV storage area!
